J Hobbs school assemblies are designed for K-12 students, with age-appropriate messaging, music, and participation adjusted for each group. Custom programs are available by request.
How long is a school assembly?
Most school assemblies run 45 to 60 minutes. Classroom workshops are typically 60 to 90 minutes. Family events can be customized based on the format, schedule, and goals of the event.
Where do you travel?
J Hobbs currently serves schools throughout Michigan. Travel outside Michigan may be available for multi-school bookings, district events, conferences, or special programs.
What setup is required?
J Hobbs will bring the core performance setup, but each school should provide access to power, a clear performance area, and enough space for student participation. (For bookings outside of Michigan, setup details TBD)
Is the content secular?
Yes. The school assembly content is secular, student-friendly, and focused on confidence, gratitude, courage, emotional awareness, kindness, goal setting, and choosing your response.
How does booking work?
Start by submitting a booking inquiry with your school name, location, preferred date, grade levels, and event goals. From there, J Hobbs will confirm availability, recommend the best format, and provide next steps for securing your date.
Are materials included?
Yes. Depending on the program format, schools may receive song-based reflection prompts, classroom follow-up resources, and optional family materials connected to the Above The Line framework.
Can we book more than one assembly?
Yes. Multi-booking discounts are available for multiple assemblies, multiple schools, district-wide events, or combining a student assembly with a family event.
