4pm Cedar Stage - Saturday with my brother @shadowfoxsean

Over the years I've played in the Barn, on the Hill Stage, and my favorite of all favorites, the Cedar Stage!

I've volunteered to run Teen Town for several years, with incredibly talented teenagers coming together to learn songs together and perform them in front of big crowds. Pics of the teens below.

I've played kids' tent sets for families, where I had a magical encounter with two world-class saxophone players last year!

This year, I'm playing Saturday afternoon between 12-2pm in the kid's tent.

And, last, who can forget about the year the power went out for my set and I played acoustically in front of the Cedar Stage with my brother and a bunch of musicians I'd never played with before.

It's been such an honor, and I can't wait to see what Seth and the team create next! 🌏

This Saturday, I’m playing two shows in one day

This Saturday, I’m playing two shows in one day with my brother @shadowfoxsean Sean Reisig

He’s been playing with two amazing bands this summer, so I’m excited to spend a full day jamming with him.

He’s been playing in 1000 Watt Prophets and @dirty_dirties Rolling Dirty who’ve been all over the Northern Michigan scene this summer.

A few times a year I do assemblies, music festivals, and family-focused events like @fambundance

This weekend, I will be at @hoxeyville Music Festival for a one-hour family-focused jam session in the Kids Tent.

As I prepare for the set, I have been asking myself a few questions I'd like to share with you in case you can use them for your work.

#1. What do I want the kids and families to experience?

#2. What do I want them to walk away from the experience saying to each other?

#3. What are my skills, superpowers, capabilities, talents, or strengths I can bring to the experience?

#4. How much of the experience do I want to be interactive vs me performing/talking?

#5. How might I ensure that I have fun putting on the experience?

#6. What are the 3-5 things I can do to ensure I show up with great energy?

In my experience as a performer, event designer, and facilitator, I have found that these questions are often overlooked.
